Job Description

As a Security Professional - Retail Access Control in Florence, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availabilitygiving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Pay Rate: $18.04 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers, visitors, and employees at the location by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding appropriately during emergency situations.
• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment within the retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to the proper authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail space and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any irregularities.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities accurately in daily reports as required by Allied Universal and the location.
• Collaborate with store management and other personnel to address security-related concerns and provide support during high traffic periods or special events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
