As a Security Professional - Flex Access Control in Smithfield, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.17 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeSun11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain security-related protocols.
• Verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and vendors with security-related inquiries and directions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports as required by Allied Universal and site management.
• Collaborate with site personnel to support emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Follow all site-specific policies and procedures relevant to the food and beverage environment.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
