What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while on patrol at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing proper protocols for an armed post.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe for suspicious behavior and report concerns according to procedures.
• Assist with emergency response activities as required, including evacuations and lockdowns.
• Complete detailed reports of incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.
• Collaborate with school personnel and local law enforcement as needed to support a secure environment.
• Maintain a visible presence and uphold a professional demeanor while interacting with students, faculty, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
