Job Description

As a Security Officer - Transportation Facility Patrol in East Saint Louis, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol transportation locations to help maintain a secure environment for all individuals on site. Your presence and regular patrols will help to deter incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the transportation location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, hazards, or potential security-related issues during patrols, reporting findings according to site protocols.
• Maintain accurate records and logs related to security-related activities, incidents, and patrols, in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
• Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials of individuals entering designated areas as outlined by site policies.
• Support emergency response protocols when applicable, including guiding individuals to designated areas or providing information to emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
