Job Description

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol in Ankeny, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with employees and visitors, provide excellent customer service, and respond promptly to situations as they arise. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or potential threats to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site protocols.
• Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations and coordinating with first responders if necessary.
• Complete detailed and accurate daily activity reports and incident reports as required by Allied Universal and client standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
