As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned corrections locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all individuals on site. Your visible presence and routine patrols will contribute to a positive atmosphere, while your strong communication skills and commitment to exceptional customer service will support the needs of staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations within the corrections environment in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Maintain detailed records of activities, observations, and incidents as required by site protocols.
• Assist in monitoring access points and verifying identification of individuals entering and exiting the location.
• Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and/or detainees as needed to support site operations and security-related needs.
• Support Allied Universal and site leadership by reporting concerns, hazards, and/or unusual circumstances encountered during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
