Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Telecom Patrol in Pennsburg, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a dynamic technology and telecommunications location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to support the security-related needs of the site, and interact with employees and visitors to provide exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $26.57 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Maintain a visible presence in assigned areas to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to occupants and visitors.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
• Report and document any observed irregularities, incidents, or unusual conditions according to site procedures.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Remain alert to tech, media, and telecom-specific security-related concerns that may arise within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
