Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a residential community. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the location, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding to situations as they arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to demonstrate strong situational awareness and professionalism while patrolling the property and interacting with residents and visitors. You will be expected to deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times, reflecting Allied Universal's commitment to putting people first and acting with integrity. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to residents, guests, and visitors at the residential location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment for the community.
• Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the residential property to help to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to residents and guests.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Possess a valid driver's license in the state where the job is located and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements; driving experience in a primarily driving post is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
