Our client, a leading organization in the finance and accounting sector, is seeking a dedicated Sales Tax Analyst to join their team. As a Sales Tax Analyst, you will be part of the Credit Department supporting reconciliation and tax compliance activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong problem-solving skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sales Tax Analyst

Location: Melville, NY

Pay Range: $24-$25 per hour

Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday (hybrid schedule - flexible) Duration: Temp-to-hire

What's the Job?

• Reconciling customer accounts to verify correct tax status
• Performing cash reconciliation activities
• Resolving sales tax disputes efficiently
• Supporting the credit team during ERP system transition challenges
• Assisting with account-by-account customer information reconciliation

What's Needed?

• 2+ years experience with sales tax compliance and reporting
• Knowledge of sales tax regulations and filing requirements
• Ability to work three days a week in the office
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic understanding of tax reconciliation processes
• Willingness to adapt to new systems and procedures
