Sales Outfitter - Firearms

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms is responsible for maintaining counter sales and customer service for firearms along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. They perform various selling/customer service activities, to include greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information, assistance and direction to customers.

Essential functions include: supporting a strong commitment to world class customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers, providing a legendary experience for every customer by assisting in making buying decisions, completing 4473 forms thoroughly and accurately, demonstrating product to customers, organizing and maintaining merchandise within the retail store for sales at gun counter responsibility, replenishing product on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines, and remaining product "expert" through ongoing product knowledge training.

Experience/qualifications include: a minimum high school diploma or equivalent, 0-2 years of experience in retail, and must be 21 years of age or older. Knowledge and experience in product knowledge of firearms and ammunition, knowledge in ATF federal and state regulations, customer service and sales of firearms and ammunition, and ability to merchandise and stock merchandise are also required.

Travel requirements are not applicable. Physical requirements include constantly standing and/or walking during shift, occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, etc., constantly communicating with others to exchange information, occasionally operating machinery and/or power tools, occasionally operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment, light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly, and occasionally working in tight and confined spaces and noisy environments.

Independent judgment is required to complete work assignments, often making recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
