Road Bond Program Technician Specialist

What We're Looking For

This opportunity entails supporting the technical aspect of project delivery for the Williamson County Road Bond Program including:

Assist in review of plans, specifications, & estimates

Review prepare construction contracts and project construction manuals

Assist with document management

Prepare project schedules for advertising

Assist in writing Special Provisions/Specifications

Prepare invoices for construction projects per Interlocal Agreements

Monitor project schedules for City projects/report on project status and progress

Assist in preparing documents for letting

Facilitate ribbon cuttings and groundbreakings

Closeout projects

Assist with processing estimates

Assist with Commissioners Court agenda items

Assist with verification of change orders

What You'll Do:

• Utilizes as technical resource in project meetings and project design for area of specialty.

• Researches best practices and maintains outside contact with other specialists.

• Acts as an internal and external point-of-contact for specialty area(s).

• Develops and advises others in related subject matter.

• Prepares technical presentations, reports, and analysis in area of specialty.

• Interacts regularly with clients at the staff level.

• May perform technical reviews for other projects in area of specialty.

• May be responsible for leading the work of a project team in area of specialty and coordinating work with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related field and 10 years of relevant experience, or

• Associate of Science in Drafting or Technical School or related and 12 years of relevant experience, or

• In lieu education, 14 years of relevant experience
