RN Manager of Interventional Radiology

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Manager for our Interventional Radiology department. This role requires a BSN and at least 3 years of progressive leadership experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have 3+ years of experience in Interventional Radiology or procedural nursing.

The Interventional Radiology Department is an integral part of our Heart and Vascular Center, and operates in conjunction with our Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac EP Lab, and CV Pre-Post Department. Our modern unit features 8 procedural rooms catering to both inpatients and outpatients, where a wide array of procedures are performed by our skilled Interventional Radiologists and Advanced Practice Providers. Additionally, we conduct Neuro Interventions as part of our accredited Stroke Program. In this position, you will oversee the newly established Vascular Access Team and the management of IV access throughout the hospital.

Our operations are continuous, with 24/7 staffing provided by two on-call teams for both Stroke and Body IR emergencies, which include Registered Nurses and Radiologic Technologists. You will report directly to the Director of Patient Services and will be supported by a highly experienced team.

Pay: $52.33 - $83.73/hour, commensurate with experience

Summary:

As the RN Manager, you will manage day-to-day operations, aligning them with departmental and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development of departmental goals, standards, and objectives that align with the organization's strategic plan.
• Manage staff relations, including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict resolution.
• Oversee scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagement.
• Monitor departmental budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage vendor relations.
• Evaluate the quality of patient care and coordinate services among patients, staff, and physicians.
• Utilize critical thinking and decisive judgment to function independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Valid State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and relevant certifications.
• Graduate from an accredited baccalaureate nursing program.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, valid before start date and for at least sixty days thereafter.
