The Reservations/Housing Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating maximum occupancy by accurately inputting individual and group reservations into the property management system and tracking occupancy statistics and current in-house status.

The Reservations/Housing Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating maximum occupancy by accurately inputting individual and group reservations into the property management system and tracking occupancy statistics and current in-house status.
Responsibilities:
- Answer department telephones. Assist callers with guestroom reservations and inquiries, including responding to Reservations VM calls.
- Assists with and maintains flow of communication with AA and internal staff.
- Perform data entry, enter group bookings, blocks, and rooming lists into the computer.
- Track "day of" cancellations and "no-show" rooms.
- Provide information regarding guests and groups to Front Office team.
- Resolve problems with guests on a daily basis.
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the layout of the hotel and conference center along with knowledge of the services offered and operating hours of the different outlets in the hotel.
- Perform general office duties including typing, data entry, filing.
- Rearrange bus company schedules to accommodate fluctuations in transportation needs.
- Provide Transportation assistance to guests on an as-needed basis.
- Perform any reasonable tasks assigned by strategic team members and / or general manager.
- Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Minimum formal education of a high school diploma is required.
- Two years of job-related experience preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Computer literate: strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- A Monday - Sunday schedule that allows availability to work weekdays, holidays, and weekends based on the demands of the hotel.
- Adept at managing fast paced environment and putting people at ease.
- Demonstrated professional and pleasant phone manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively, effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds at all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize, identify problems, and seek solutions as well as follow up and follow through with a variety of tasks.
- Basic knowledge of/experience with hospitality industry helpful.
- Excellent communications skill (oral & written) in English.
- Warm, personable and energetic demeanor.
- Honest, trustworthy, discreet and careful with confidential information.
- Highly proactive and willing to take initiative.
- Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 7 hours per day. Walking and standing are required the rest of the working day. This includes traveling to and from meetings. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Some portions of daily assignments involve ergonomic risk, such as repetitive tasks, hands exertion, vibration, cold temperatures, poor body mechanics, restrictive workstations or awkward postures.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.
- Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
- Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, 10-key adding machine, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, FAX machines, copiers, and other office equipment as needed.
