Reliability Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior/Staff Reliability Engineer to join our team. This individual will play a key role in the development and validation of our unmanned platforms at the system and component levels. The ideal candidate has a strong background in physics of failure, FMEA, test development and execution, and root cause analysis with a proven track record of collaboratively managing risk throughout a fast paced development process.

• Collaborate with a tight knit team to identify, understand, and prevent failures throughout the development process
• Be hands-on in developing test methods and equipment to uncover failures before they happen in the field
• Find clarity through root cause analysis of lab and field failures and suggest design changes to prevent them.
• Use your understanding of physics of failure to develop novel ways of accelerating tests.

We're Excited About You Because You Have

• A bachelors or advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience facilitating DFMEAs for complex components and/or systems.
• Experience developing risk assessments based on Weibull, fault tree, RBD, or other reliability analyses.
• Proficiency in test development, equipment, and execution.
• Ability to write Python scripts to automate reliability tests.
• Experience with CAD and shop tools to design and build fixtures and/or test rigs.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

• For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
• For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
