Receiving Supervisor Direct Hire in York

Monday-Friday 7am-4pm

Manpower has an exciting new, direct hire opening in York as a Receiving Supervisor. This position is with a great company offering great PTO and competitive Health Benefits! As the Receiving Supervisor you will be to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of shipping and receiving departments.

Additional Duties Include:

• Inspect loading/unloading operations to ensure compliance with shipping/receiving specifications.
• Direct movement of materials from shipping and receiving area to warehouse and/or staging area.
• Study shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet deadlines.
• Supervise/coordinate the activities of shipping, receiving, and warehouse personnel to maintain and ensure materials are allocated to the appropriate bin and location.
• Develop work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
• Arrange transportation according to customer instruction and standard.
• Inspect incoming materials and ensure Receiving follow FIFO and notify Quality Department of potential quality issues.
• Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with best practices specifications.
• Maintain physical inventory accuracy through cycle counting, movement of material from bin to bin through out system.
• Ensure the Shipping/Receiving and Warehouse area is organized and clean at all times and meets all compliance requirements.
• Conduct training, development, and performance-monitoring activities of each employee in department.
