React UI Lead (Onsite)

React UI Lead Engineer

Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified React UI Lead Engineer (Onsite) with experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our engineers have a passion for high-quality, reliable and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together in order to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Location: Minneapolis - MN / Irving-TX Experience Required: 8+ years

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, scalable, and secure UI components using React
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
• Implement automated testing and deployment scripts
• Ensure high-quality code, following best practices and industry standards
• Troubleshoot and debug UI issues
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in UI development with React
• Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and UI design principles
• Expertise in AWS services (S3, CloudFront, Lambda, API Gateway)
• Experience with process automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles and Agile methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Nice to have: Banking domain experience, Knowledge of state management libraries (Redux, MobX), Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes), Java Basic, Certification in AWS or related technologies, Familiarity with accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1)
