Radiology Technologist - On-Demand

Summary:

The Radiology Technologist performs a diverse range of both routine and advanced imaging procedures. This role is critical in supporting fellow imaging technologists, ensuring efficient patient flow, and adapting to various shifts and campuses as needed. The technologist should be adept at performing basic equipment troubleshooting, participating in quality assurance, and resolving image processing issues. You will be expected to enhance your skills through continuous education and to align with the organization's mission, values, and competencies.

• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards set by state, federal, and hospital organizations.
• Perform examinations or procedures as needed to improve patient throughput.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts and potentially at different campuses.
• Ensure completion and proper storage of exams in the PACS system.
• Follow PACS downtime procedures and liaise with the PACS administrator for any technical issues.
• Report equipment issues to management and follow up with biomedical personnel as needed.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent.

Experience

• Preferred: 1 year of experience in a hospital setting.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• Radiography (R) by ARRT is required.
• State Licensure required:
  • Texas: MRT by TMB
  • Louisiana: LRT (R) or (F) by LSRTBE
  • New Mexico: RRT by MIRTP NMED
• BLS certification required.
