As a Radiology Technologist, under the direction of a qualified physician, you will operate advanced imaging equipment to obtain radiographs for diagnostic purposes. This includes fluoroscopic and digital radiographic technologies. Depending on your assigned location, you may also provide support in the ambulatory surgery center using a radiographic C-arm or portable unit, and perform fluoroscopic exams.

In this role, you will utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) and Patient Archiving System (PACS) to complete necessary clerical processes effectively.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain imaging equipment for optimal performance.
• Adhere to the KSC Radiology Department's policies and protocols when conducting examinations.
• Assist in the training and mentorship of new team members.
• Engage with patients to ensure comfort and understanding throughout the procedure.

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Eligible for ARRT (R) registry Graduate Technologist designation as defined by the Texas Medical Board.
• ARRT (R) certification.
• MRT-General Certificate.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Proficient in using computer systems and digital imaging technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree in applied science-Radiology Technology.
• 1+ years of experience as a Clinical Radiology Technologist.
• Experience with PACS and RIS systems.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
