Radiology Technologist - Full Time

Summary:

The Radiology Technologist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality imaging services by performing a diverse range of routine and advanced procedures. This position not only supports fellow imaging technologists but also ensures patient flow is seamless and efficient. Flexibility is key, as the technologist may be required to work various shifts or at different campuses. The role includes troubleshooting basic maintenance, engaging in quality assurance, and addressing issues concerning image processing and archiving systems. Continued education and keeping current with safety and technological advancements is essential within their licensure scope. Furthermore, the Technologist is expected to embody the organization's mission, values, and cultural standards through their behavior and communication.

• Conduct all duties in a way that maintains patient confidentiality and does not disclose any confidential information unless necessary for job responsibilities.
• Tailor patient assessments, treatments, and care methods to meet the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs of each patient.
• Maintain compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and care standards from state, federal, and regulatory agencies.
• Perform the necessary examinations/procedures to enhance patient throughput within the scope of applicable licenses and documented competencies.
• Demonstrate flexibility by adjusting to different shifts and locations as needed.
• Ensure accurate scanning and storage of completed exams in PACS.
• Follow PACS downtime protocols, acting as a PACS Superuser and notifying the PACS administrator of any issues promptly.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions to the Director/Manager and/or Biomedical personnel; complete appropriate follow-up.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or an equivalent accepted qualification is required.

Experience:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:

• ARRT Radiography (R) certification is required.
• State Licensure is required:
  • Texas: MRT by TMB
  • Louisiana: LRT (R) or (F) by LSRTBE
• BLS certification is required.
