Radiology Imaging Technologist

Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Techs to become a part of our dynamic healthcare team.

Baptist Health Urgent Care operates 23 locations in Arkansas and is an affiliate of Urgent Team, which is among the largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. Our centers offer quality and affordable family healthcare at over 80 locations under eight brands.

At Baptist Health Urgent Care, our convenient walk-in centers provide a wide array of healthcare services, including treatment for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. We are open seven days a week: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Please note that our Conway - Oak Street location's weekend hours are Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Additionally, all our centers have received Accreditation from the Urgent Care Association, reflecting our commitment to safety, quality, and service scope.

JOB SUMMARY:
This role involves performing x-ray testing and patient movement, utilizing your knowledge of anatomy and physiology. You will operate diagnostic equipment, develop images, and prepare the room with the necessary supplies for procedures, while also undertaking Medical Assistant duties. Full-time employees typically work a rotating 36-40 hour weekly schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties reflect the expectations for this role but may not cover all responsibilities. Other tasks may be assigned.

• Greet patients promptly upon entering the waiting area, exam room, and x-ray room.
• Maintain consistent communication with patients regarding wait times and the next steps in the treatment process.
• Provide solutions for patient concerns and identify any emergent or hazardous situations requiring help.
• Conduct follow-up calls with urgency.
• Assist front desk personnel with patient check-in/out when necessary.
• Accurately document patient vital signs, brief history, and other essential information.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures supervised by the provider.
• Perform timely radiology procedures for evaluation by attending physicians.
• Ensure quality exams by following necessary quality control procedures.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures while adhering to safety and regulatory protocols, including proper radiation protection methods.
• Monitor the condition of equipment and report malfunctions to the Manager or provider.
• Commit to continual improvement of diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills through ongoing education.
• Maintain current licensure and certification for radiology equipment.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
High school diploma or equivalent, BLS Certification, AR State X-Ray License, ARRT Certification preferred, and previous Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
