Radiology / Cardiology/CT Tech
Title: CT Technologist Location: Newark, NY Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 58-Hour (15:00 23:00)
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform CT imaging procedures including head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and musculoskeletal scans with and without contrast in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment (Client systems, PACS) and ensure high-quality diagnostic images for accurate interpretation.
- Utilize advanced post-processing techniques such as 3D rendering, MRP, and ROI measurements to enhance diagnostic capabilities.
- Prepare and administer IV contrast media safely while adhering to radiation safety and isolation precaution standards.
- Provide excellent patient care in an adult acute care setting, ensuring patient comfort and proper positioning during procedures.
- Document procedures using the EPIC charting system and follow departmental guidelines for workflow and communication.
- Float to other units as needed and work independently during mid-shift hours (3:00 PM 11:00 PM), Wednesday through Sunday.
- Maintain compliance with NY state licensure, ARRT (R), and BLS certifications.
Required Skills & Experience:
- ARRT (R) certification and active New York state radiologic technologist license
- BLS certification
- At least 1 year of CT technologist experience in an acute care setting
- EPIC charting system experience (required)
- Proficiency in Client imaging systems and PACS (preferred)
- Skilled in advanced imaging techniques including 3D rendering, MRP, and ROI measurement
- Experience performing CT scans of the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and musculoskeletal regions
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols, isolation precautions, and contrast media administration
- X-ray experience (required)
- Ability to work mid-shift (3:00 PM 11:00 PM), Wednesday through Sunday, and float as needed
