Job Highlights:
- Department: Imaging and Diagnostics
- Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 paid in full on your first paycheck!
- Schedule: Full-time evenings, 2 PM - 10:30 PM
- Compensation: Starting pay at $28.36/hour, with daily pay options available!
- Evening Shift Differential: Additional $1.90/hour
- Location: SSM Health St. Clare Hospital - Baraboo, WI
- Relocation Assistance: Available for qualified candidates
About the Role:
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures including x-rays and fluoro. Your expertise will aid in diagnosing patients effectively while ensuring their comfort throughout the process.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Explain procedures to patients, ensuring they understand what to expect.
- Prepare patients for radiology exams through proper positioning according to protocols.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols to protect patients from unnecessary exposure.
- Administer contrast media and monitor patient responses during procedures.
- Maintain high-quality imaging standards, submitting images and documents accurately.
- Ensure imaging equipment is functioning correctly and report any issues.
- Keep the work environment clean and orderly.
- Be ready to perform limited CT procedures during emergencies.
- Work with alertness and prioritize patient safety at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or completion of a radiology certification program.
- ARRT-R certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
- BLS certification required.
- No prior experience needed!
Physical Requirements:
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting/moving of patients and objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to distinguish colors and perform repetitive movements.
