Radiologic Technologist

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist will carry out a diverse range of routine and advanced imaging procedures. This role includes supporting fellow imaging technologists as needed and ensuring a smooth patient flow. Flexibility to work different shifts or at various campuses is essential. The technologist will troubleshoot basic maintenance issues, participate in quality assurance activities, and address challenges related to image processing and archiving systems. Staying updated with ongoing education, safety standards, and technological advancements is expected.

• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards set forth by relevant authorities.
• Perform examinations and procedures to assist in patient throughput within the limits of licensure and documented competencies.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working varying shifts as needed.
• Ensure that completed exams are properly scanned and stored in PACS.
• Act as a PACS Superuser, follow downtime procedures, and escalate any issues to the relevant personnel.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report them to management or Biomedical personnel.
• Perform additional assigned duties as necessary.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in a hospital setting.
• Basic computer skills are necessary.
• Certification in Radiography (R) by ARRT is mandatory.
• State Licensure: Texas MRT by TMB is required.
• BLS certification is required.
