Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our dynamic team.

ABOUT BAPTIST HEALTH URGENT CARE:
Baptist Health Urgent Care is an affiliate of Urgent Team, one of the largest operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast, with 23 locations across Arkansas. We provide quality, affordable family healthcare in convenient, walk-in centers that are open seven days a week, offering a range of services including treatments for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. Our Fort Smith-Northside location is open on Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. All our centers are Accredited Care Centers, a recognition from the Urgent Care Association for our commitment to safety and quality.

JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for performing x-ray tests, including patient movement and body mechanics, using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. You will operate diagnostic equipment, develop films, and prepare examination rooms with the necessary equipment and supplies. Additionally, this role includes performing Medical Assistant duties. Full-time team members will work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every other weekend. Our PRN team members are scheduled based on need.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties reflect the general expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive:

• Promptly greet patients upon their arrival in the waiting area, exam room, and x-ray room.
• Consistently communicate with patients regarding wait times and the next steps in the treatment process.
• Provide solutions to patient issues and seek assistance in emergency situations.
• Conduct follow-up calls with urgency.
• Assist front desk staff with patient check-in/out procedures as needed.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical history, and relevant information accurately.
• Assist in patient transfers and procedures under provider supervision.
• Follow documentation procedures related to patient visits.
• Perform timely radiology procedures for physicians' evaluation and treatment.
• Execute quality control procedures to ensure high-quality exams.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, adhering to clinical and safety protocols.
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report malfunctions to the Manager or provider.
• Maintain and enhance diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with external educational resources.
• Stay current with licensure and certification requirements.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
High school diploma or equivalent, BLS Certification, AR State X-Ray License, ARRT Certification preferred, and experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
