Radiation Therapy Technologist - Full-Time

Position Summary: As a Radiation Therapy Technologist, you will simulate and treat patients according to the physician's prescription, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology Program, holding either an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy Technology.
• Certification/Licenses: Must be registered and certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) as an RTT and possess a current New Mexico State license.
• Skills: Proficient in operating a linear accelerator, computerized record and verify systems, portal imager, CT/simulator, HDR, and ultrasound. Excellent computer skills and troubleshooting abilities are essential.
• Experience: Previous experience as a radiation therapist is advantageous; however, new graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Nature of Supervision: Responsible to the Director of the Cancer Center.

Working Environment: Must be prepared to work in settings involving bloodborne pathogens, exposure to radiation, chemotherapy drugs, and the potential for contact with contagious diseases and infected wounds.

Physical Requirements: Must be capable of moving swiftly, bending, stretching, and lifting patients of all weights with assistance. Ability to lift heavy objects above the head or below knee level and the dexterity, vision, hearing, and speech to perform tasks efficiently is required.
