Project Accountant

We are looking to hire a Project Accountant professional who will play a crucial role in managing financial aspects of projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage client invoicing and collections.
• Track and maintain project budgets.
• Assist with coding and processing accounts payable (A/P), timesheets, and expense reports.
• Ensure accurate contract documentation and administration.
• Collaborate with project managers and staff to resolve financial issues.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting, Project accounting, General ledger, Reconciliation, Month end, Accounts payable.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High School degree required.
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management.

Work Environment:

This role operates in an in-office setting with cubicles, fostering a family environment where everyone helps each other. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. A laptop will be provided for work purposes. The company is 100% employee-owned, offering significant growth opportunities in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
