Production Support task:
Incident Management: Monitor, manage, and resolve incidents using ServiceNow. Ensure timely resolution and documentation of incidents to maintain system reliability.
Observability and Monitoring: Utilize observability tools like Splunk and Honeycomb to monitor system performance, identify issues, and proactively prevent incidents.
Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analysis for incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and IT, to ensure seamless incident resolution and system performance. Working with AU and UK RUN team.
On call responsibility: Providing on call support during off hours and weekend as in when needed. We do have AU, UK supporting after hours but there might be requirement to provide support off hours.
SRE Tasks: Automation: Drive initiatives to automate repetitive tasks and improve system reliability and performance.
Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on incident trends, system performance, and other key metrics to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
Performance Testing: Develop and execute performance testing scripts using Python and Locust to ensure system scalability and reliability SLIs and SLOs: Define, implement, and monitor service level indicators (SLIs) and service level objectives (SLOs) to measure and improve system performance
Desirable Skills: Experience: Proven experience in a production support role with a focus on incident management using ServiceNow.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of observability tools such as Splunk and Honeycomb. Familiarity with other monitoring and logging tools is a plus.
SRE Skills: Experience with Site Reliability Engineering practices, including performance testing with Python and Locust, and setting up SLIs and SLOs Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Automation: Experience with automation tools and scripting languages to drive efficiency and reliability.
