PRN Medical Assistant

Join Our Team! Urgent Team is excited to welcome passionate and skilled Medical Assistants. We are one of the largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast, offering quality healthcare at over 80 locations.

About Us: Our centers provide a wide range of healthcare services including treatments for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. We operate seven days a week with convenient hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All our centers are Accredited Care Centers, highlighting our commitment to safety and quality.

Position Overview: As a Medical Assistant, you will deliver essential clinical care to our patients while gaining valuable experience in the medical field. Our PRN team members work on an as-needed basis, accommodating your schedule.

Your Responsibilities:

• Greet patients warmly as they enter the waiting area and examination rooms.
• Communicate wait times to patients clearly and guide them through the treatment process.
• React promptly to patient issues and alert the team in emergencies.
• Make follow-up calls with urgency and attention to detail.
• Assist front desk staff with check-in and check-out procedures when necessary.
• Accurately document patient vital signs, medical history, and relevant details during visits.
• Support patient transfers and assist with procedures under the provider's supervision.
• Ensure thorough documentation following established procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent experience is necessary.
• BLS Certification is required.
