About the Role

As a Nursing Assistant (NA), you will be a vital caregiver during your scheduled shifts in long-term care facilities. Your responsibilities include providing resident-centered nursing care and assisting with daily living activities under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN). You will cater to both the physical and psychological needs of residents as outlined in their care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care to residents including bathing, grooming, dressing, and assistance with daily living activities.
• Measure and record vital signs and document interactions as necessary.
• Help residents transfer and move safely using proper techniques and equipment.
• Contribute to creating a positive dining experience, assisting with meals and hydration.
• Ensure cleanliness and operational functionality of residents' living areas through housekeeping and laundry support.
• Engage residents in wellness and recreational activities, encouraging participation.
• Communicate changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing team.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CNA certification required with the State Board of Nursing, or obtain within four months of hiring.
• Six months of long-term care experience preferred; three months required.

Scheduling Requirements:

• Availability for a minimum of 30 hours per month.
• Willingness to work at least one weekend shift per month.
