Print Shop Operator

General Production Worker

We are seeking a dedicated print operator to join our team.

This role involves assisting with the finishing of signage by applying sheeting to substrates as designed and printed. While experience with design and printing software is not required, it is preferred, and computer abilities. The position also involves helping in other tasks in the main shop during downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Apply sheeting to substrates to complete signage.
• Adjust machine accessories as needed, monitoring print cycles
• Inspections and verification that the prints meet requirements per work order
• Operate company van to transport raw materials and finished goods between the sign shop and main shop.
• Ensure safety protocols are adhered to at all times.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely.
• Fluent in English with reading, writing, math, and computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
• Capability to produce work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in printing or bindery background preferred.
• Experience in the printing industry and familiarity with printing software is strongly preferred.
• Valid Drivers License

Work Environment:

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 12pm to 8:30pm.

Will work within the print shop, and within the warehouse as needed based off overall demands.

The work environment is supportive, with a focus on teamwork and safety.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukegan, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
