Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal System Administrator to support system administration and maintenance functions associated with monitoring and controlling virtualized computer environments. This work supports the Common Mission Control Center (CMCC) program, located at Beale AFB, CA.
What You Will Do

• Administration of VMWare ESXi servers.
• Maintaining Operating Systems (Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux).
• Application and Security Patching.
• Account and Permissions Management using Microsoft Active Directory.
• Backup and Restore using Rubrik Backup Solutions.
• Cybersecurity Processes related to Continuous Monitoring of IT Systems.
• Deploy, update, and maintain Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) systems.
• Administration of HPE 3Par and Nimble storage solutions.
• Kubernetes Administration - Rancher RKE2 Distribution.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Previous experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Administration, Windows 10/Server 2016 Administration, and Broadcom VMware - VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
• Active certification to comply with NIST-8570 (Security+, CISSP, etc.)
• Active and transferrable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start with the ability to obtain special program access after start.
• U.S citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
