Press Brake Operator

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator with 1-2 years of experience in CNC press brake operations and blueprint/shop drawing reading. The ideal candidate will work with various metals including stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum. The role involves running the brake press and other job shop machinery, forming sheet metal to print specifications, and potentially learning to set up and operate CNC machines, presses, punches, shears, and more.

Responsibilities

• Operate the brake press and other job shop machinery.
• Form sheet metal according to print specifications.
• Learn to set up and operate CNC machines, presses, punches, and shears.
• Perform basic shop duties as required.
• Work with various metals including stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum.

Essential Skills

• 1-2 years of CNC press brake experience.
• 1-2 years of blueprint/shop drawing reading experience.
• 1-2 years of experience working with various metals.
• Good math skills.
• Computer knowledge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Job shop experience if lacking brake press experience.
• Forklift experience if lacking brake press experience.

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean and climate-controlled, with operations around automated machinery. The position operates on a first shift from 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM, typically working 9-10 hours a day. As a custom metal fabricator specializing in laser cutting, CNC punching, CNC bending, waterjet cutting, and robotic welding, our company has been leading in Western Pennsylvania since 1981, and is ISO 9001:2008 certified.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
