Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Elkton, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing outstanding customer service, and communicating clearly with staff and visitors. Pay Rate: $21.53 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime: Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe for any unusual or suspicious activity within the aerospace and defense environment.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance needs as observed during patrols.
• Communicate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed to support a secure environment.
• Follow all site-specific protocols and instructions provided by management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
