Job Description

As a Security Guard - Access Control - Afternoon Shift in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more.

As a member of the Allied Universal team assigned to an access control post within a logistics and distribution location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for all personnel and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols throughout the facility, and remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with staff, visitors, and drivers, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and drivers with access-related inquiries and procedures.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain order within the facility.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
