Pipe Layer

Aerotek's client is looking for Pipe Layers to join their team in the Gambrills, MD area

Responsibilities

• The Pipe Layer will install and connect underground piping systems for water, sewer, storm drainage, and gas projects

• This role is essential to ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient utility installation on job sites

• Lay, connect, and align pipe according to grade and specifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and pipe laser setups

• Assist equipment operators with trench depth and pipe placement

• Ensure proper sealing of joints and bedding/backfill compaction

• Follow OSHA safety standards and CSC protocols on site

• Collaborate with foremen, operators, and crew members to meet production goals

• Perform general labor and site cleanup as needed

Additional Skills

• Setting up both a pipe laser and rotary laser.

• Must have extensive experience installing gravity sewer, storm drain and water line.

• Experience working in ground water is preferred. Although not required but if they can shoot grade is a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
