Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

Ascension Saint Thomas Medical Partners is adding an obstetrics & gynecology physician to our growing practice. This position is full time with a schedule that will be discussed during the interview process.

The practice is located in Murfreesboro, TN, which is part of a Health Professional Shortage Area and a Medically Underserved Area/Population. The practice utilizes the Athena EMR system and is affiliated with Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

The hospital is a regional referral center with 407 beds and a modern facility built in 2010. It features a newly renovated 16 operating room suite and is centrally located in the fastest growing county in Tennessee. The hospital campus is currently undergoing a $110M expansion project, which includes the addition of 36 new high acuity beds, a parking garage dedicated to hospital employees and physicians, 18 new critical care unit beds, six additional NICU bassinets, and 17 new post-surgery bays. The hospital is well known in the community for its women's services and well-established heart surgery program.

Saint Thomas Health and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center have an established partnership in Middle Tennessee for training medical residents in a variety of specialties including internal medicine, family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and general surgery.

Murfreesboro offers top schools and a wide range of housing options. It provides quick access to the amenities of metropolitan living including fine dining, live music, and is home to Middle Tennessee State University. The area also features multiple nearby lakes and trails.

Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. KY License also required if working in a Kentucky facility.

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
