Interventional Radiologist

Ascension is looking for a full time interventional radiologist. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with a call schedule of q5 for primary and q20 for back up for vascular surgery partner for non-vascular cases. The EMR system is Athena, and the facility is Ascension Medical Group in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Responsibilities include providing cutting edge, minimally invasive procedures in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. The hired physician will join the existing group of 4 interventionalists and 6 APPs. (3IR and 1 vascular surgeon). The primary responsibility is to cover all interventional radiology services at St. Vincent 86th, Indianapolis. Currently there are no diagnostic radiology responsibilities, this position is 100% interventional. The physician would spend at least 3 days a week in the vascular lab, 1-2 days a week in a dedicated IR CT&US dual suite, supervising APPS and doing non-vascular cases. In addition, the physician would get at least 1/2 day of clinic/week. Call will be q5 for primary call and q20 for back up for vascular surgery partner for non-vascular IR cases.

The practice offers a comprehensive PE and DVT service line for Ascension's flagship hospital, has a robust CLI service line and is aligned with podiatry colleagues, maintains strong ties with urology, oncology and gastroenterology departments, and partners with peripheral thoracic and cardiothoracic colleagues. The team includes 6 APPs that help with clinic, rounding, non-vascular (paras, thoras, biopsies, drains) and simple vascular procedures.

Requirements include licensure/certification/registration as a Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education includes Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
