With 1-2 years of experience, Day shift Sun-Wed 9:00am -7:30pm, Knoxville TN

Job Description

A local hospital seeks to expand its phlebotomy team, integrating it as an essential extension of the nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy procedures.
• Conduct vital sign checks as needed.
• Assist with patient mobility in limited circumstances.
• Stock supply closets during downtime.

Essential Skills

• Experience in phlebotomy, verified with references.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience as a medical assistant.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is a plus.

Work Environment

This role is situated in a lab/office environment within a leading hospital in West Knoxville, known for its specialization in elective procedures and its reputation as the 'country club' of hospitals in the area. This is a long-term contract role, providing 40 hours of PTO in the first 9 months and 60 hours of PTO every 6 months thereafter. The position offers a collaborative atmosphere with the opportunity to work closely with the hospital administration as a service partner.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
