Primary Responsibilities:

Assists the pharmacist in the preparation of medication ordered as permitted by state law. Maintains good customer service by processing, compounding, and delivering medication in a timely manner. Responsible for ordering and inventory of medical supplies and medications. Other duties include ordering medication and stocking inventory, processing clinic medication requisitions, maintaining accurate records and other duties as required by the pharmacist.

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma /GED and completion of Tech Training Program including Sterile Product course
• ACPE Pharmacy Sterile Products Certification/Must be IV Certified
• PTCB certified
• TSBP registered
• 6+ years of pharmacy experience, 5+ years in pharmacy admixture
• Order entry, purchasing and inventory management experience with medications and supplies
• Sufficient computer processing knowledge to place and manage drug orders
• Compounding Sterile Products knowledge
• Demonstrated ability to operate computer software to process prescriptions
• Stress Tolerance- Demonstrated ability to manage the stress of working. Technicians will work variable shifts and provide staffing flexibility when responding to workload fluctuations. Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Physical stamina- to work in a demanding environment and ambulate within the pharmacy
• Communication - Demonstrated ability to read merchandise labels and invoices; to ask and answer questions over the phone; to write information on prescriptions. Able to communicate with customers and to handle complaints and problems

Preferred Qualifications:

• HMO's and 3rd party managed care experience
• Compounding Chemotherapy
• Knowledge when to refer questions, problems, and complaints to a pharmacist

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.00 to $35.72 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
