Per Diem Non-Certified Monitor Technician

Position Summary: Join our dedicated team as a Per Diem Non-Certified Monitor Technician, where you'll play a critical role in supporting nursing staff during urgent situations. Your primary responsibilities will include observing and documenting cardiac rhythms, transcribing physician's orders, and acting as the communication hub for the nursing unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor and report on cardiac rhythm status.
• Transcribe physician orders accurately during emergencies.
• Perform clerical duties to maintain unit records with precision.
• Assist nursing staff in various assigned tasks to ensure quality care.
• Act as a communication center for the nursing unit.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of Basic Dysrhythmias courses within three months of employment is required. Medical Terminology experience is a plus.
• Certification/Licenses: BLS certification through the American Heart Association is preferred.
• Skills: Experience in cardiac monitoring, basic computer and typing skills, excellent phone etiquette, strong spelling abilities, and the capability to communicate fluently in English.
• Experience: One year in a hospital setting is preferred.

Supervision: Reporting to the Director / Clinical Manager.

Environment: You will work in an area where bloodborne pathogens are present. Personal protective equipment will be provided and must be used whenever exposure is possible.

Physical Requirements: The role primarily involves sitting for extended periods, with regular changes in position. Candidates must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and assist in transporting patients weighing over 200 pounds. Strong auditory skills are essential to manage multiple conversations while completing tasks.
