Duke Urgent Care Croasdaile is a dynamic clinic at the forefront of accessible healthcare in Durham. Serving patients of all ages, from newborns to adults, the clinic provides expert care for minor injuries and illnesses, including sprains, fractures, respiratory infections, and allergic reactions. With a diverse team of skilled providers, including a dedicated pediatric specialist, Duke Urgent Care ensures personalized, high-quality treatment when it's needed most. Location: 1821 Hillandale Road, Suite 24A, Durham, North Carolina 27705

Clinic Hours: 8am 8pm, Monday through Sunday

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, with rotating weekends

What you will do:

• Prepare for clinic visits by reviewing next day patients and completing next day preparation activities.
• Check-in patient upon arrival in the practice.
• Prepare encounter forms.
• Schedule tests and procedures.
• Explain billing to patients according to PRMO credit and collection policies.
• Check-out patients.
• Answer telephone, take and deliver messages to physicians, nurses and others.

What you will need:

• Education: Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles normally acquired through high school education.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of work experience in directly communicating and providing service to patients or public; preferably in a healthcare related field. Experience in effectively coordinating multiple tasks or activities.
• Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification: N/A
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication. Basic PC and data entry skills. Knowledge of medical terminology and telephone etiquette. Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work, provide oral and written instructions, interact tactfully with customers and establish and maintain effective relationships with others. Must be able to apply specific departmental policies rules and regulations relating to verifying patient information, collecting payments and maintaining records and forms.
