Overview
Patient Access Representative Guidehouse .
This role is a remote/home-office position with a Monday through Friday regular business hours schedule. Some holidays may be required.
What You Will Do
- Toggling multiple systems and applications
- Remote patient registration
- Patient Identification/Demographic updates
- Insurance verification, mapping correct plan codes to insurance types
- Hold codes identify and hold encounters pending follow up
- Resolving unbilled encounters
- Electronic communications provider, medical record requests
- Attend team daily huddles and provide/receive process and performance outcomes
- Performance/Productivity daily/weekly huddles via MS Teams
- Census reconciliation hospital vs. patient registration data
What You Will Need
- High School Diploma/GED or 3 years of relevant equivalent in lieu of diploma/GED
- 0-2+ years relevant experience in healthcare with knowledge of billing and collections, medical insurance claims procedures and documentation, patient care charts and histories, patient registration procedures and documentation
What Would Be Nice To Have
- Familiar with insurance payer portal
- Realtime insurance eligibility verifications
- Knowledge of health insurance plans, HMO, PPO, Managed Care and plan coverage
Salary
The annual salary range for this position is $34,000.00-$56,000.00 . Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
