Parts Consultant
As a Parts Consultant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our retail and installer customers. Join our dynamic team where you can leverage your skills and passion for automotive parts while contributing to a supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and follow all company customer service initiatives.
- Warmly greet and assist retail customers with their selection of automotive merchandise.
- Collaborate with store management and installer service specialists to assist professional customers as needed.
- Engage in company training programs relevant to your position.
- Provide outstanding assistance to customers over the phone, answering inquiries according to company policy, accurately locating parts, quoting prices, suggesting premium items, and upholding the Low-Price Guarantee.
- Manage the cash drawer with accuracy while processing transactions, including cash, checks, and credit card payments.
- Handle exchanges and returns with professionalism, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Address and resolve customer complaints with a positive attitude.
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as freight receival, shelf stocking, and planogram maintenance.
- After training, operate store equipment like the brake lathe.
- Provide in-store services within legal boundaries, such as installing wipers or testing batteries.
- Occasionally assist with deliveries, ensuring a valid driving record that meets company standards.
- Carry out other duties as assigned to support store operations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Able to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
- Exemplary customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Capacity to multitask effectively, managing customer interactions both in-store and over the phone.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of automotive parts and sales.
- ASE certification.
- Bilingual capabilities (Spanish preferred).
