Your Role
In this dynamic role, you'll have the power to personalize every customer's shoe shopping journey:
- Greet every customer warmly and helpfully, recognizing their needs and offering exceptional service.
- Introduce customers to the benefits of our DSW Loyalty program and assist in their enrollment.
- Answer customer inquiries about our products and complete transactions for in-store and online sales.

Ensure every customer enjoys a consistent and positive shopping environment:
- Take ownership of maintaining a neat, clean, and safe store, including clearing trash and organizing merchandise.
- Receive incoming freight and prepare merchandise for display, adhering to DSW standards.
- Engage with our in-store and digital services to bring the joy of shoes to life.
Putting Customers First:
Always prioritize the customer:
- Efficiently complete transactions following DSW policies.
- Be responsible for accurate cash handling and providing correct change.
- Handle escalated customer situations with the support of the Customer Experience Leader (CEL).

Foster a fun and collaborative work environment:
- Participate actively in team meetings and ongoing training.
- Be receptive to coaching and feedback from your peers and supervisors.
- Promote teamwork and inclusivity within the store.
Required Skills:
- Availability to meet the needs of the business.
- Professional, friendly, and focused on customer service.
- Ability to work with urgency to meet time-sensitive tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using technology for customer interaction (Register, Calculator, etc.).
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and other physical activities.
Experience:
- No prior retail experience required, but a passion for customer service is essential.
The estimated pay range for this position is $16.75 to $17.75, which is subject to variation based on experience, location, and other factors. Additional benefits may include health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans, depending on your role and location.
