Department Details

• Two 8 hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend and holiday commitment required
• Shift times: 7am-3:30pm, 3pm-11:30pm, or 11pm-7:30am

Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) is a vital caregiver for patients, providing compassionate and patient-centered nursing care. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will assist with essential daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation, while also addressing emotional and spiritual needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with basic health care tasks
• Recording vital statistics and health information
• Collecting non-invasive biological specimens when needed
• Performing clerical tasks related to patient healthcare documentation
• Preparing and cleaning treatment areas and medical equipment
• Ensuring compliance with biomedical waste disposal standards
• Maintaining a clean environment for patients

Qualifications

Candidates must possess a basic understanding of patient care principles, medical terminology, and equipment relevant to the service area. Certification and registration with the Minnesota Board of Nursing Assistant Registry are required.
