Part-Time Night Clinical Nurse II - Med/Surg

Salary Range: $83,200.00 - $93,184.00

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical unit. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement, and manage the care of assigned patients, ensuring a smooth transition throughout their acute care stay with a focus on their progress toward discharge.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, and performing necessary treatments and procedures according to company policy and regulations.
• Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
• Assessing and evaluating patient needs and responses to care.
• Applying sound nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions.
• Providing primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administering medications as ordered and collaborating with the nursing team to create individualized Plans of Care.
• Guiding ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduated from a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory; additional certifications may be required in some departments.
• Previous experience as a PCA or in another nursing assistant role is preferred.
• A commitment to continuous education and improvement in job performance.
• Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques is essential.
