Kennel Services Attendant

VCA Orange County Veterinary Hospital is looking for a part-time Kennel Services Attendant to join our team in our boarding facility. We are looking for a candidate who is reliable, attentive to detail, and provides compassionate care to our boarding pets. Experience working with animals in a professional setting is a plus. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.

VCA Orange County Veterinary Hospital is a general practice animal hospital with two full-time, and two part time doctors. We practice Fear Free in which we attempt to help the patients be as calm as possible to avoid causing them fear and/or anxiety. Main duties are as follows:

• Feeding pets and making sure they have ample water
• Administering medication
• Bathing
• Toenail trims
• Reporting any symptoms to the hospital veterinarian
• Practicing proper restraint and safety techniques
• Cleaning of kennels and indoor runs
• Detailing of kennel wards, indoor runs, and hallways
• Restocking
• Frequent bending
• Lifting items up to 40 lbs.
• Complying with OSHA cleaning and sanitation regulations
• Laundry

Compensation: $16.77 - $17/hour. Pay dependent on experience.
