Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers professional nursing care for residents of various ages in long-term care settings, under supervision from registered nurses, advanced practice providers, or physicians. Responsibilities include:

• Providing compassionate care, ensuring the health, comfort, and safety of residents
• Administering medications or treatments as prescribed
• Participating in resident assessments and documenting care outcomes
• Collaborating effectively within an interdisciplinary care team
• Communicating clearly while maintaining confidentiality
• Counseling residents and their families regarding care and treatment plans
• Performing other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program; an Associate degree is preferred
• For IV therapy/management, must have completed an approved course or program
• Must hold an unencumbered LPN license in North Dakota or through multi-state privileges
• Commitment to ongoing education and competency training
