Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation, including tasks like chopping vegetables and assembling salads.
• Serve meals to residents, ensuring adherence to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines diligently.
• Engage positively with residents, staff, and guests, delivering exceptional customer service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in food service or a kitchen setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate well with residents, staff, and HCSG leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
• Physically capable of lifting/carrying up to 30 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds, and standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
• Able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Comfortable working around food and cleaning products.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on state/county law.
• Must reside within the service area.
