Your Impact as a Nursing Assistant:

The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a crucial role in providing compassionate care to residents in our long-term care facility. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN).
• Participating in a multidisciplinary nursing team, ensuring compliance with infection prevention and control policies.
• Assisting residents with personal care needs, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing emotional support to enhance residents' well-being.
• Supporting residents during meals and creating a positive dining experience.
• Documenting resident care, communicating any changes in condition to nursing staff, and collecting non-invasive body fluid specimens.
• Upholding cleanliness and comfort in residents' living spaces through housekeeping and laundry tasks.
• Encouraging resident engagement in wellness and recreational activities.
• Contributing to committees and task forces to improve our services.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age of 16. Previous experience in long-term care is a plus.
• Must have Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or obtain it within four months of starting by enrolling in a training program.
• Complete annual competency testing and maintain continuing education credits (12 hours required annually).
• Compliance with UAP Registry if applicable.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and meet medical qualifications for driving if applicable.
